Hamburg has a new star restaurant. A great story for ZEIK! It’s probably a bit about the tough ones who get to the garden … Because despite the grueling coronavirus period, which has demanded an immense amount from the entire gastronomy industry (as well as so many other professions, of course), the fine dining scene was waiting in March 2022 for the results and the long-awaited rain of stars from the
ZEIK and its owner and head chef Maurizio Oster were awarded the coveted Restaurant Michelin Star in in Hamburgwhich this year could finally be presented in person at a ceremony. In your home town, on your doorstep, so to speak? That’s all it takes to bring a tear or two of joy to the cheeks of Maurizio and his fantastic team. ZEIK is now officially not only one of the best restaurants in Winterhude, not only one of the special fine-dining spots that foodies and gourmets in our city should definitely have on their bucket list, but also the official 1 star restaurant in Hamburg.
In addition to the award as 1 star restaurant ZEIK also received a full ‘Green Star’ at the same time. The green star as an award for sustainability in gastronomy has long since ceased to be just a rising star in the culinary firmament: “Modern gastronomy can no longer do without sustainability,” emphasized Maurizio Oster in his words of thanks on 9 March at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
A total of 15 stars went to ten restaurants in Hamburg. The entire ZEIK team congratulates all colleagues for their passion for cooking. Here’s to a new one!
